Early on in his first season with PSG, Neymar was in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. During a Ligue 1 match, Neymar and striker Edison Cavani could be seen arguing with one another as to who should take the penalty. Even at Barcelona, there were numerous stories of Neymar getting into it with other players and even coach at the time Luis Enrique.

Madrid is already a team with big-name players with even bigger personalities. Zinedine Zidane has done a great job at managing the locker room as well as the pitch. Throwing Neymar into the picture could either create peanut butter and jelly or baking soda and vinegar.

Much like how Neymar had issues with Cavani, the possibility of that happening with Ronaldo is also present. Ronaldo is a legend in the making and will not only go down as one of the greatest Real Madrid players but one of the greatest ever, is that really a recipe Florentino Perez wants to tamper with?

The addition of Neymar could throw off the mindset of several players such as Marco Asensio, Isco, and Lucas Vazquez. This would, in turn, create a volatile situation and may even have some of these players looking elsewhere for minutes. Having three versatile attacking players is better than having one who may be better than all three combined.
