Substitutues

Vincius Jr. (57′) – 6.5

Coming on like the burst of energy that he is, Vini did his best to try and get his team back into the game. With some threatening runs and close shots, he did all he could. His link up with Karim Benzema was missed as the two have developed radioactive chemistry together.

Gareth Bale (65′) – 6

Bale came on for Marco Asensio, which seemed like an odd substitute. Solari was looking to the Welshman to come off hot from the bench just like he did against Atletico, but he was far from. 16 touches in 25-minutes from your winger is not a good sign. He had just one shot on target and was dispossessed twice.

 Mariano Diaz (73′)  – 6

With little output coming from the rest of the team it would have been ludicrous to expect Diaz to change everything himself. A fair run out by the youngster but maybe not the right choice by Solari. Putting Mariano on along with three other attackers made very little sense.
