Real Madrid loanee Martin Odegaard just put on a masterclass

Real Madrid fans are excited for a future with Martin Odegaard, who produced another sublime display for Real Sociedad on Matchday 15.

Last week, Martin Odegaard returned to the Santiago Bernabeu for Real Sociedad’s match against Real Madrid, and while his side lost 3-1 to Los Blancos, he was one of the best players on the pitch.

Odegaard’s pressing and chance creation have made him one of La Liga’s best players this season, and he’s been instrumental in La Real’s push for a Champions League position. As an encore performance to his solid display against Los Merengues, Odegaard absolutely obliterated Eibar on Matchday 15.

After recording an assist in the 25th minute to give La Real a 1-0 lead, Odegaard added some more key passes to finish the game with five. He also showed off his world-class dribbling ability, as WhoScored.com had him tabbed with eight dribbles completed and two fouls drawn.

Odegaard came close to scoring with the game at 3-1 in Sociedad’s favor, and then in the 80th minute, he struck.

That was an absolute peach of a strike from Odegaard, who was being closed down by an Eibar defender. He had little space to get this shot off, but with a swipe of his left boot, he sent a rocket nestled perfectly in the far left corner of the net to put the game beyond all doubt in Sociedad’s favor.

Odegaard now has three goals and four assists in the 2019-2020 La Liga campaign, and you can only imagine how many assists he would have at Real Madrid with forwards like Rodrygo, Eden Hazard, and Karim Benzema by his side.

For now, though, Odegaard is Real Sociedad’s star man, and this performance against Eibar is a reminder that he is already one of La Liga’s best players at just 20 years old.

A goal, an assist, a handful of chances created, and a whole lot of untouchable dribbling. Odegaard has Twitter buzzing again, and Real Madrid fans couldn’t be more excited about the future of their team with young budding superstars like him.
