Dani Carvajal – 7

A casual performance from Carvajal. Took care of what he had to down the wing had just two interceptions and one tackle in his defensive duties but, it was enough for the win.

Raphael Varane – 8

You’ve seen the tall centre-back head the goals home over the years, but the French connection with Benzema made for a beautiful finish past Diego Lopez. He also chipped in three clearances along with two interceptions and blocked shots.

Sergio Ramos – 7.5

El Capitan once again the leader of the backline and bailed out a lazy Real Madrid on several occasion in the second half. Ramos lead the team with four clearances along with three tackles and two interceptions.

Ferland Mendy – 7

If you had to put your money on anyone to get sent off you would have bet on Ramos, but it was Mendy with two odd challenges earning him a pair of yellow cards for the sending off. As a result, he will miss the next league match against Valencia, and with Marcelo out due to injury, it could make for a sticky situation for Zidane. That being said, the left-back had a good game for the most part including three dribbles, of course, his sending off is unfortunately the main takeaway of his game.
