Hasan and Mushtaq are back for another episode, here’s a look at what we talked about and the link to listen to the pod!
Welcome back to the podcast, it’s our third episode in seven days, looks like we’re on track huh?
With Matchday 6 of the Champions League group stage on the horizon for Real Madrid, we dropped a preview mixed with a bit of analysis but firs the game against Espanyol.
It was a rocky ride for Real Madrid at home as they struggled to get a firm grip on the game. The engine in midfield Toni Kroos looked a bit out of place in comparison to his usual self.
Vinicius Junior took a heap of flack from fans on Twitter, but when looking at his stat line he was more than impressive. The Brazilian who has received limited time on the pitch this season had four key passes, two less than Karim Benzema who led the team in that category.
Hasan and I took a more in-depth look at the game, defending those who were slandered and talking about others who seemed off-colour.

Last time Real Madrid came up against Club Brugge it was Matchday 2 and Zinedine Zidane was looking to pick up points after the deafening 0-3 loss to Paris Saint-Germain on the opening day of the group stage. Sadly, for the French manager and Los Blancos, that form didn’t carry through.
Real Madrid has turned the season around from that point though. It’s unlikely we’ll see a starting XI as strong as we have in recent weeks as this match is of no consequence to Real Madrid who has already qualified for the Round of 16.
Zidane will likely field players who haven’t received many minutes thus far while also using this opportunity to experiment with different pairings or tactics. Both Sergio Ramos and Toni Kroos were left out of the matchday squad with the pair being handed a well-deserved rest.
