Real Sociedad attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard is, like the other two members of this list, 21 years old. And also like Achraf Hakimi and Fede Valverde, he is already one of the most impressive players in Europe at his position. Since he happens to be a No. 10 who can occasionally play on the right, his attacking work and creativity make him an even more coveted young player.

Odegaard was La Liga’s second-best attacking player behind Lionel Messi last season, which is the highest possible praise a player can be given. La Real’s attacking general, Odegaard sprayed passes all over the pitch and looked supremely confident, even in games against top clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Since Los Blancos agreed to a two-year loan deal with Sociedad, Odegaard probably won’t be back in 2020-2021. And it’s best for his development to spend as much time as possible there. However, Real may need him back sooner, especially since they probably won’t be able to make other signings. They can also give Reinier Jesus or Takefusa Kubo to La Real as other great No. 10 options for them.

Odegaard scored four goals with five assists in the 2019-2020 season, but his work rate, consistency, creativity, vision, and ball progression were even more impressive than the goal contributions. The 21-year-old is already a world-class attacking midfielder and could put up some ridiculous numbers with the right forwards in front of him at the Bernabeu.
