Real Madrid Vs Getafe (Game Week 33)

Getafe is having a great season and is fighting for a Champions League spot with Sevilla, Atletico, and Sociedad. but they have been a bit of a slump having zero wins from their last five games. Real Madrid defeated them earlier this season with ease thanks to goals from Varane and Modric.

It should not be a tough test for Madrid given Getafe are not in the same kind of form they were in earlier this season on top of it, it is a home fixture. Real Madrid has got a solid defense and have kept clean sheets against the local rivals three out of last five times, winning four games in the process. I am expecting an easy win again this time around as well.

Prediction: Real Madrid 2:0 Getafe

Athletic Bilbao Vs Real Madrid (Game Week 34)

This is the toughest game Real Madrid has got on paper and it has been causing a bit of controversy already regarding the timings of the game. Real Madrid won’t be getting a 72-hour rest as needed according to the FIFA rules between two games, so it is likely to be postponed by a few hours. Bilbao has a solid back four and currently sit 10th on the table having an outside chance of qualifying for the Europa League.

By the time this game is played, it is highly likely Bilbao may not have anything to play for either which would be a good sign for Real Madrid. Nevertheless, the Basque side is very tough to beat at San Mames and their defense is not easy to get past either. It would require a huge effort from Real Madrid and it’s stars to get all three points while keeping Inaki Williams and co. at bay. It would require something of an effort similar to what Madrid did at Sanches Pizjuan earlier this season or against Atletico at Bernabeu.

Prediction Athletic Bilbao 0:1 Real Madrid
