Real Madrid Vs Villareal(Game Week 37)

This, for me, is the toughest fixture for Real and many have been sleeping on this considering it an easy one. The yellow submarine has always caused problems for Madrid in the past and facing them in the second last week won’t be easy either. Villareal loves to attack and Real Madrid’s defence as good as it has been this season will have issues against them. Real Madrid always had issues against sides that go out attack them and we have seen it in many games.

Real Madrid are not good at sitting back and soaking pressure as seen in almost every last 10-20 minutes when opponents try to attack and unnerve them looking for a goal. The best example being the game against Granada at the Bernabeu where Los Blancos even after taking a 3-0 lead in the first half conceded twice in the second.

This fixture has ended in a 2-2 draw 3 out last five times and has averaged 4 goals per game in the last 4 fixtures. Real has only won one of the last five fixtures against them thanks to a Mariano Diaz brace at the Bernabeu last season. This tie can make or break the season for Madrid and its high time Real Madrid set record straight against the yellow submarine.

Prediction: Real Madrid 3-2 Villareal

Leganes Vs Real Madrid(Game Week 38)

Leganes are in the relegation zone and they are most likely going down and their fate will probably be sealed by this game. They lost their best players in the winter transfer window and since then have lacked an edge going forward with Los Blancos loanee Oscar Rodriguez carrying the side fighting for relegation. It should be an easy game for Los Blancos and getting three points should not be much of an issue looking at the Leganes side.

Madrid has a habit of taking these games from granted and have lost points to these sides in the bottom five in the first half of the season. Zidane will surely put out his best possible lineup and will try to kill the game in the first half. There is a chance this game may prove inconsequential in the title race so there is a chance we may get to see Renier Jesus’ debut if he recovers from his injury in time. I am expecting another big win just like last time at the Bernabeu with a clean sheet.

Prediction: Legane 0-6 Real Madrid
