Rodrygo Goes

Another Brazilian wonder kid joined Madrid in 2018. The young lad completed his move from Santos to Real Madrid for a rumored fee of  €45 million. Rodrygo is a right-winger with good pace and finishing skills. He made his debut for Los Blancos in September 2019 against Osasuna where he scored the second goal in a 2-0 victory for Real.

Rodrygo has turned up in Zinedine Zidane’s side in important league games and UEFA Champions League games. He scored his first perfect hat-trick in the Champions League match against Galatasaray in a 6–0 win for Real and shined under the Bernabeu lights. The Brazilian started for Madrid in second leg of the Champions League game against Manchester City where he provided the assist to Karim Benzema.

Rodrygo has some special ability, which makes me think that he will be the future of Madrid ahead of everyone. He is clinical in front of the goal, doesn’t dribble much to make it a fuss in the penalty box, and his passing accuracy is good. Zidane has used him in the league as a starter or substitute; he has played his part astonishingly and earned managers trust on him.

Expectations from Rodrygo are to provide stagger performances whenever he is called up by the French manager and play as a substitute or backup winger and wait for his chance. Zidane’s plan with Rodrygo will likely to be using him alongside Marco Asensio on the right-wing whenever he goes with 4-3-3 formation.

Looking at the current situation, Rodrygo will stay here playing simultaneously along with others. But you never know the future.
