14. Eibar

It is hard to say what Eibar we are going to see this season. In the 2017/18 season, they were one of the best pressing teams in Europe and finished in the top half of the table. Last season they were inconsistent and finished 14th. Eibar drew nil-nil against Celta Vigo to open their campaign. They will likely end the season in the bottom half of the table.

13. Levante

Levante finished 12th, 15th, and 15th in their last three La Liga outings. Paco Lopez has the team playing some good football, but it is hard to see them do better than last season considering the teams that are ahead of them.

12. Osasuna

Osasuna had a bright start to their La Liga season with a 0-2 away win against the newly promoted Cadiz. They are always a force to be reckoned with at El Sadar and are no slouch away from home. However, they will have to maintain their performance level without the fans and not let it dwindle as they did towards the end of last season.

11. Vallodolid

Vallodolid has done well to find their place in La Liga. They are an organized team that makes it difficult for their opponents, and they showed it against Real Sociedad on matchday one. They have also added this summer with a couple of smart signing and should easily stay in the first division.

10. Granada

Granada splendidly qualified for the Europa League last season. They are an excellent team and won their first match of the season 2-0 against Athletic Bilbao. However, being in Europa might be detrimental to their La Liga efforts.

9. Real Betis

Real Betis struggled to find consistent form last season under Joan Ferrar. However, with the appointment of Manuel Pellegrini, things might improve. They already have a pool of talented players, and Pellegrini has the gravitas to bring the best out of them. They came away with a 0-1 win against Deportivo Alaves this past weekend.

8. Athletic Club

Athletic Club had a poor start to their La Liga season as they lost 2-0 away to Granda. Similar results last season saw them unable to find consistency in the League. However, Bilbao is a team full of talent. They showed last season sporadically how good they can be. They beat Barcelona twice, and if they can find some consistency, they will go far in the League this season.

7. Getafe

Getafe is a strong team under Pepe Bordalas. He has set up his team to be rigid and robust. While they struggled for form post-pandemic and lost out on the European spot, they are likely to start strong this season and fight for the Europa League spot once again.
