3. Key finishers could be the X-factors

Real Madrid will once again be expected to step up big in an important final, as Zinedine Zidane likes to treats every match. An obvious comparison here however is the attack on both sides and Chelsea’s clearly, is young and much inexperienced. I could have included Vinicius’s pace being a threat against Azpilicueta but rather a better shout would be the experience Los Blancos carry upfront.

Firstly, short and sweet, Eden Hazard is back. Honestly, it is gruesome for fans like us to see such a big bright player staying so quiet at a new club. He, however, would be facing his former employers and it’d be rushing through his veins to deliver a performance to remember. Real Madrid and Zidane have been patient with the Belgian and as it seems, it may have paid off.

We saw him in a short cameo in the last game, a 0-0 draw against Real Betis at home. For the limited minutes that Hazard played, he was superb completing two key passes. His first pass of the match, dissecting lines of the Betis midfield to find Benzema was sensational. Only if Benz on return would have found Asensio who was making his run inside the box. The signs thus have been positive and a match against your former employers, what could be better to make a statement?

The second person of interest here is Karim Benzema, as much as he always is. We saw a masterclass recently. Away at Cadiz, and my word what a performance that was. The key here is to keep him in service. In such an important tie, he will once again be that vital difference on the pitch, creatively or else finish-wise. His creativity will be key against senior defenders like Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva, who very recently were seen forming the backline against West Ham.

Next. 3 advantages Real Madrid have over Chelsea. dark

A small look at their counterparts, Timo Werner, Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, or even Kai Havertz would therefore bring me to conclude that Real Madrid goes into this match with a better attack. And that makes it a perfect 3 out of 3 for Real Madrid, who need to win the home leg with a dominant scoreline and possibly head into the second leg with assurance. They have a very tough schedule to keep up with.
