Bring the wider players into the game, as much as possible

Real Madrid has always been a gifted club when it comes to left-backs. We had Marcelo who piloted the responsibility for long years establishing himself as the best LB in the world during his prime. And now, we have an equally promising Miguel Gutierrez to succeed the Brazilian.

Both Miguel Gutierrez and his wide partner, Alvaro Odriozola have impressed immensely in their recent outings. Odriozola has improved by degrees since his involvement in El Clasico. His crossing and attacking instincts especially are looking very sharp. He scored the third goal for Madrid last time out, off an Eden Hazard cut-back that restored the cushion.

The key for this match-up would be to get the wider players on the ball as much as possible. We have very recently seen how handily Odriozola has been linking up with Big Benz. Odri mostly looks to get balls into the box keeping the forwards in service.

Miguel Gutierrez’s assist for Luka Modric to score the opener at Los Carmenes is something the Madridistas have seen several times on the rewind. With such quality available on the pitch, Los Merengues should look to utilize it to the fullest. This very well could be the most vital key to another away victory in the row.
