2. PAUL POGBA – MANCHESTER UNITED

Paul Pogba kicked off his 2021/22 campaign with Manchester United in style. The French international bagged four assists against Leeds United in the Premier League and played a key role in their 5-1 victory over Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

There has been a lot of transfer speculation around Pogba’s future as his contract runs out next summer. At the moment, there’s no certainty on whether or not the 28-year-old would renew terms with Manchester United after being linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Pogba was once on Zinedine Zidane’s wishlist along with Eden Hazard, the player himself considers a move to Real Madrid as a dream. Next season, the former Juventus midfielder would be an ideal signing to add some spark and creativity in the midfield.

Luka Modric’s contract runs out next year and Toni Kroos would also be entering the final year of his contract. Signing Paul Pogba in 2022 for free would be a huge step towards rebuilding the midfield and replacing the veterans Modric and Kroos perfectly.

While Real Madrid have the opportunity to sign Pogba for free next year, it may not be a “free transfer”. Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola is well known for his infamous agent fee and commission demands, Madrid might pay as much as up to 30 million euros in agent fees and other overhead expenses.
