Real Madrid have long been linked to Kylian Mbappe. There were talks between the two clubs over the summer about a potential transfer, but somehow PSG managed to ignore Real Madrid’s huge offers for a player whose contract expires next year. It was a very questionable move from PSG, but they did it because they wanted their newly formed trident to work perfectly, and win the Champions League during the time Mbappe is at the club.
It remains to be seen whether that will actually happen or not, because even though PSG have won all their games in the league so far, they have looked a little off and they’re still not at the peak of their powers. They drew their first Champions League game vs Club Brugge, which was a little unexpected. Mbappe’s time at PSG has been interesting, and I think that if he is to move to Real Madrid next season, then his stint at the French club will have an interesting end as well.
At the end of the day, I really think that Mbappe will move to Real Madrid. There’s almost no way he stays at PSG after how things went down with his transfer situation in the summer. Also, he has proved time and time again that he only wants to play for Real Madrid, and he wants a Los Blancos transfer over anything else. Let’s look at three such instances.

Mbappe wants to leave despite having a dream team around him
There are many, many players that will do anything for an opportunity to play with the likes of Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Neymar Jr, and so many other players. PSG have assembled an incredible team, and it’s a dream for most fans to see these players together, and also a dream for most players to play alongside them.
The same cannot be said about Kylian Mbappe. In fact, it probably doesn’t faze him all that much. Even after signing all these players, even after promising Mbappe that they’ll continue to make the team better, PSG just aren’t able to convince the Frenchman to stay at the club.
We’re talking about a player who has the world at his feet at just 23 years of age. He’s their local boy, and the fans want him to prosper there, in front of their eyes. The club wants to see him lead their project, but Mbappe doesn’t want all that.
He has probably enjoyed his time at PSG. After all, it’s the place where he reached absolute superstardom. But it genuinely seems like that time is going to end very soon, because Mbappe has other aspirations to fulfil. He has other dreams that he wants to live, and it just cannot be done in France.
Who else would leave such an incredible team for a team still in the process of rebuilding?

Kylian Mbappe has yet to extend with PSG despite the record-breaking offers
Money is important. It doesn’t matter if you’re a footballer or not, you need to earn and secure the future of yourself and your family. Sometimes, money alone can be a deciding factor in a player’s next destination. Sometimes, they put money ahead of their dreams, and stay at the place where they’re getting more of it.
I don’t think it’s the wrong choice. Some players just aren’t into it for the passion and love for the sport. But Mbappe’s not one of them. He knows that his dreams are not worth the money that he may earn at Paris-Saint Germain.
A month ago, when the Mbappe transfer saga was going on, PSG’s sporting director said that the club offered Mbappe two lucrative contract offers. One would’ve made him earn the same amount of money as the current highest-paid player in the squad. That was rejected by the Frenchman. Then they offered him a contract that would’ve made him the highest-paid player on the team, and even that was rejected.
It just goes on to show that no matter how much money PSG offer Mbappe, his heart just isn’t there anymore. He’s set his sights at the capital of Spain, and even though he wouldn’t earn as much money there as he would’ve earned at PSG, it’ll be worth it. He’ll get to lead the team into a new chapter, and he’d be the face of the club for years to come. That’s what he wants. He wants to make a mark, win trophies and break records at Real Madrid, and from what it seems, no amount of money would make him not want to do that.

Everyone at PSG knows that Mbappe desires a move to Real Madrid, and nothing else
Mbappe’s stance was as clear as day during this season’s transfer window. He wanted a move to Real Madrid, but he wouldn’t force himself out of the club because he respects the club, the board, the fans and his fellow teammates and coaches. He respects them too much to make their life a little difficult both on and off the pitch.
Even Al-Khelaifi knows that Mbappe wants a move to Real Madrid. According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, he already told his teammates during the summer that he will definitely play for Real Madrid. Whether that will be this year or the next was up to the club, but it was i
That’s why it would’ve made sense for PSG to sell him to Real Madrid this season, but they didn’t. They chose to keep him on in the hopes of the team’s quality changing his mind and making him sign an extension.
But deep down, they know it’s not possible. Kylian Mbappe, in my opinion, won’t sign an extension after seeing the way his case was managed by PSG. Even without that, he won’t put his dreams on hold any longer, and I think the club knows that. They’ll definitely try to make him sign an extension, but it just doesn’t seem likely.
