Brahim Diaz is desperate to prove himself at Real Madrid, but it’s time for the forward to get some regular playing time.

Real Madrid forward Brahim Diaz has all the talent in the world. Madridistas have been rooting hard for the former Manchester City youngster to excel at the Santiago Bernabeu, but it has been nearly impossible for him to find regular playing time with so many talented attackers.

Brahim could play as a false nine, but it’s already impossible for Luka Jovic to get playing time behind Karim Benzema after a 60 million euro move. And forget about the trials Mariano Diaz, who also turned down loan opportunities, faces to play.

Of course, Brahim can play out wide, but Real Madrid are just as crowded there, especially with the way teenagers Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes have been playing lately. Even Rodrygo can’t play on his favored side regularly. And now with Marco Asensio healthy and in form, the right side of the formation is as competitive as the left.

So it comes as no surprise that Edu Pidal of Onda Cero’s El Transistor is reporting that Real Madrid want to convince Brahim to finally make a loan move away from the Santiago Bernabeu. The club will speak with the young Spanish international this week to try and get him to accept a loan move to Getafe, who have become a highly competitive team in La Liga under Jose Bordalas.

Playing at Getafe, per Pidal, would allow Brahim to remain in Madrid with his family, but he would finally be able to play regularly. At Getafe, Brahim would be a star, playing regularly in the attack as a potentially game-changing player for a team desperate to play European football in 2021-2022 after collapsing late in the 2019-2020 La Liga campaign.

Brahim has a wicked shot from outside the box, great athleticism, and incredible work ethic and passion that has made an impression on the entire club – including Zinedine Zidane. It is no overstatement to claim that everyone wants Brahim to succeed, but the 20-year-old cannot keep sitting on the bench. This is the year for Brahim to make his loan move and shine in La Liga.
