The best El Clasico in the last 10 years was the 2014 matchup between the two teams in the Santiago Bernabeu in one of the rivalry’s highest scoring games when Barca beat Real 4-3.
In a hectic game, Andres Iniesta shot into the top corner before Karim Benzema’s brace put Real ahead, Messi restored parity soon after but Cristiano Ronaldo restored Real’s lead from the penalty spot, after Sergio Ramos was sent off, Messi won the game with two penalties.
The penalties from Messi in the 65th minute tied the game and then he won it with a late dagger of a penalty in the 84th minute against the Real Madrid team with a man down.
This loss by Real opened the door for Atletico Madrid to take the lead and Los Blancos finished third, behind both of their rivals, Atleti and Barca.
