Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema is rumored to be on his way out of the Bernabeu, here are three reasons for that potential exit.

Karim Benzema has been in poor form of late and this has angered the Whites’ faithful who are desperately urging the club to sign a better and more lethal striker to compete with the exploits of Barcelona’s talisman Luis Suarez. Arsenal and Chelsea have been strongly linked with a move for the 29 year old Frenchman. We take a look at three possible reasons why the Frenchman could be on his way out:

NEW CHALLENGES

Karim Benzema joined Real Madrid in 2009 from then French champions Olimpique Lyonnaise. The Frenchman spent seven wonderful seasons in Madrid but has been out of form since the beginning of the 2016/17 campaign.

He has seen his reputation fall in the eyes of many after an involvement in a sex-tape and blackmail case with international teammate Mathieu Valbuena.

More from The Real Champs

Benzema has been heavily linked with a move to England’s superpowers Chelsea and Arsenal for around 50 million pounds.

The Frenchman has won literally every collective honor possible with Real Madrid and might want to taste new pastures.

RISK OF BEING SECOND CHOICE

Benzema’s poor form has seen the Madrid faithful favor Alvaro Morata. However, Benzema has continued to get Zidane’s backing. Although, it might not be late until the French tactician has a change in mind and begins benching Karim Benzema.

Real Madrid have also been linked with moves for several big names including Sergio Aguero, Paulo Dybala and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Arrival of any of the 3 big names may spark a debate regarding Benzema’s starting spot which is already in speculation.

PAY RISE

Karim Benzema does not seem to be one of those players who plays for money over the passion for the sport. However, Chelsea might want to replace Diego Costa who could leave in the summer for the Chinese Super League. Karim Benzema has always been on the West Londoners’ wish-list and they are well capable of offering the Real Madrid striker a handsome sum of money to lure him away.
