Can Real Madrid Contain the Napoli Front Three?

It’s no mystery. Real Madrid won’t play forward too far or try to get in deep and try to score. That is, they won’t do that if they can maintain their two goal lead.

So, the biggest key of the game will be, can Real Madrid’s defense, midfield, and most importantly, Keylor Navas in goal, stop Insigne, Callejón, and Mertens? From what we saw in the first leg, yes they can.

Napoli came out of the gates in the Santiago Bernabéu flying with Insigne scoring a curling goal past Navas in the first 10 minutes. Even though they didn’t score again in the game, the Napoli attack kept pressure on Los Blancos for long stretches of time, primarily in the first half.

Therefore, today when Napoli come out hyped and ready to play in front of their home fans, Real will have to be ready to defend an energetic attack that will be gunning for just two goals today.

Keylor Navas better be ready in goal, because Napoli will be swarming him all night trying to win this tie.
