For about as long as I’ve been writing for The Real Champs, which is closing in on 9 months now, Eden Hazard has frequently been rumored as a transfer target and likely future signing for Real Madrid. However, those rumors seem to have been put to bed yesterday after Chelsea informed Real Madrid CEO Juan A. Sánchez that Hazard is not for sale. Ben Sundock has more.
The Eden Hazard to Real Madrid rumors look to have finally been put to rest.
After months and months of speculation and uncertainty about his future in London, Chelsea have informed Los Blancos that the Belgian international will not be making a move away from Stamford Bridge anytime soon.

The news of Hazard staying at Chelsea comes just a couple days after a Belgian based sports magazine released a picture of Hazard dressed in a Real Madrid uniform, sparking many to believe that Hazard had changed his mind about making the move to Madrid.
However, as we now know, that is highly unlikely to happen at this point.
Hazard is currently under contract with Chelsea until 2020, and he is earning the most per week, £200,000, of any player in Chelsea’s current squad, which should say a lot about the quality of Hazard.
With Florentino Perez and his constant desire to sign the next ‘Galactico’ and bring in the next big thing, means that this transfer still might not be off the table. But, if Real Madrid are smart, there will conserve their time, money, and resources and focus more on improving the team in an area where improvement is really needed, like depth at full back, or center back.
Zinedine Zidane is literally swimming in midfield options, especially attacking midfielders (Isco, James, Asensio).
With reports indicating that Hazard will agree to a new long term contract to stay in London some time this summer, I would put money on Real staying put and possibly looking elsewhere for talent.
