No one can stop Ronaldo. Especially Sevilla.

Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t look like himself in the fall, struggling to score in the Champions League and besides a hat trick at Atlético Madrid, the Dark Invader was absent (for Ronaldo standards). Many Real Madrid fans and critics believed that this season was the beginning of the downfall for Ronaldo. It has been very far from that.

The Portuguese beast has found his footing and has started to bang shots in like we have become so accustomed to seeing.

The stats say it all. The last seven games for Ronaldo have been nothing short of phenomenal. And all of these gams, have come against quality opponents in big games.

Today, was no different.

Not only did Ronaldo score the game winning goal plus a brace, but he also scored his 400th and 401st career goals for Real Madrid in all competition.

Despite this being the first season since 2009/2010 – the year he joined Real Madrid from Manchester United, that he won’t score over 50 goals in all competition, this has been a season where Ronaldo has adjusted his game to best suit the team.

He may not reach 50 goals this year (he now sits at 43 on the year), but Cristiano sure has been great distributing the ball to his teammates. With 11 assists in all competition, it’s clear that the Real winger is playing less selfish, and the result is a better team effort.

After today’s match against Sevilla, Ronaldo has now scored 25 goals in just 17 matches when facing the Andalusian side. And with his two goals added today, I think it’s rather safe to say that Sevilla can’t stop CR7.
