¡Hasta el final, vamos Real! This slogan, usually used to cheer Madrid on to the final of a cup competition, has taken on a slightly more morbid meaning. Real Madrid are now offering fans the chance to be buried in Real Madrid branded coffins, in the shape of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.
It’s no surprise that a club legend like Alfredo di Stefano had his coffin (pictured above) adorned in the Madrid crest and presented to the Santiago Bernabéu.
But now, having a Madrid themed funeral isn’t a privilege just reserved for icons of the club. There is now a new line of Real Madrid branded coffins, in the shape of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.
This puts a whole new twist on the idea of supporting your club to the death.
The coffins debuted at Funermostra, a convention for funeral services. The coffins were such a viral sensation that the convention is now using the image of the coffins for the front page of their website.
The mixing of coffins and sports fandom isn’t an entirely new idea. There have been branded coffins for U.S. college football teams for a while now. Also, there’s a recent trend of people bringing coffins to tailgating parties as elaborate coolers.

Not to be outdone by their Spanish rivals, FC Barcelona also has a line of coffins for Blaugranes wishing to pay tribute to their club in the hereafter.
