Real Madrid have been on the cutting edge as of late when it comes to acquiring youth talents, and in a sense stashing them. With now six players under the age of 23 ready to make an impact on the team already, Real Madrid is LOADED for the future.

Theo Hernandez – Fullback

The 19-year-old FB was purchased from rivals Atletico Madrid from what seems like a bargain of around $30 million. Hernandez was loaned out from Atleti to Deportivo Alaves last season. Since Real already had a player of their own on the side, Llorente, they get extended time to see Hernandez work as well. Like many others, they fell in love with the kid and quickly triggered his release clause as the summer transfer window opened.

For now, he will be an understudy and second choice option to one of the greatest left backs ever in Marcelo. Soon though, the young French fullback will have his name seen as the starting LB in Real’s starting eleven.

According to WhoScored, only Filipe Luis completed more dribbles as a defender than Hernandez last year in LaLiga. A quick, dribble heavy full back then can go forward just as well as he can defend? That sounds awfully similar to the man Theo will be learning from for the next few years.
