Jesus Vallejo – Center back

Jesus Vallejo will likely have the best chance at starting eleven minutes this season. With the departure of Pepe, Ramos aging a bit more and Varane always seeming to have a knock, Vallejo will definitely see his name called.

That is nothing to worry about as a fan, because Jesus has shown brilliance in his loan stints at Zaragoza and Frankfurt. The young Spanish center back has a knack for finding passing lanes and opening up holes to start attacks despite being such a good defender.

His aerial duels and marking still need a little help, but now with a full season in Real Madrid training coming up, I expect his growth to skyrocket, especially with the game time he will be getting. To learn more about Vallejo, check out my column on him below:
