We are all beyond spoiled to be Real Madrid fans, especially with their recent glory and success. With that said, here is my wishlist for this upcoming season.

Marco Asensio To Play In More Than 25 Games

Last season, Marco Asensio featured in 21 games. Asensio is widely considering one of the best young talents in the game if not the best, so it’s only fair for his play time to continue to grow.

As an Asensio fan as well, I would like him to be seen in more than 25 games.

Last season Asensio contributed 16 goals in 21 substitutions, so I think if he were to take over Alvaro Morata’s role and play 25 or more, he could eclipse 20+ goals in all competitions.

Real Madrid To Purchase Another Fullback

Real Madrid currently have three first team fullbacks; Theo Hernandez, Marcelo and Dani Carvajal.

So they really only have one full-time back up which is Hernandez, since Nacho fills in as a backup center back predominately. If one of the starting fullbacks goes down, there is really no long term cover.

I touched on how Real Madrid has short term patches in my preview of the position, but I still want a long term one. Whether it is a long term backup or a player who can eventually over take Carvajal, something needs to be done.

Real Madrid To Win The Treble

This is a stretch, and probably every fan’s dream, but it has to be one here. In Zidane’s tenure, Real Madrid has gotten better and better in every season with trophies towards the treble. They started off with the Champions League single, made it a League and Champions League double this past season, so why not snag the Copa Del Rey and go for the treble this year?

This is obviously much easier said than done, but with a thinner and weaker FC Barcelona side, Real should be able to grab the two domestic trophies easier than usual.

Try Some Formations With 5 Midfielders

Real Madrid has the best midfield and midfield depth in the world, bar none. Dani Ceballos, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Isco, Casemiro, Mateo Kovacic, and Llorente.

What a time to be alive.

Even with 5 midfielders all of them can’t play, but the type of possession control and build up Real could have in a game with Mateo/Modric/Casemiro/Isco/Kroos all playing together would be something out of a video game.
