Real Madrid have found a squad that can win not only the LaLiga title but also the Champions League title. Florentino Perez wants to keep these players around. It should come as no surprise that Los Blancos will be signing five key players to contract extensions soon. Here are the details.

President Perez will soon be sitting down with Isco, Dani Carvajal, Marcelo, Marco Asensio, and Raphael Varane to finalize contract extensions with all five of these regular starters in the Real first team.

Karim Benzema is also amongst the lengthy list of players to get a new contract to stay in the Spanish capital, but his deal was not mentioned along with these five guys.

According to Marca, the club board and president were worried about Neymar’s recent move away from Barcelona to PSG after the French club could afford to buy the talented winger out of his contract. So, in order to prevent that from happening to his own team, Perez is installing incredibly high release clauses.

The first player who is set to sign a new deal is Spanish midfielder Isco. After struggling to get playing time for a couple years, Isco has earned himself a starting position with this team after doing a fantastic job filling in for the injured Gareth Bale last winter and playing great to start the ’17/’18 campaign.

Isco’s new deal will reportedly run until the summer of 2021 and included a stunning €700 million release clause as well.

Perez and manager Zinedine Zidane are anxious to resign rising star, Marco Asensio, to a long-term deal and new, stunning release clause. After signing a new deal earlier this year, Real Madrid are trying very hard to hold off offers from several teams around Europe.

According to reports, Asensio’s new deal will run through the summer of 2023 with an increased buyout clause just like Isco’s.

I actually reported on Marcelo and Dani Carvajal getting a contract extension way back in March, but they haven’t formally signed the paperwork as of right now. Whenever the deal is finalized, the right back and left back will both sign deals that run through 2022.

After taking control of the starting center back role next to captain Sergio Ramos, Rafa Varane will also receive a revamped contract that will keep in the Spanish capital through 2022 just like his defensive line mates. Marcelo and Dani.

As I mentioned a couple days ago, the Big Benz will sign a two-year extension on his current contract that is currently set to expire in 2019. The new deal will see Benzema stay with Los Blancos through 2021, when he will be 33.

Uncle Flo and Zizou want to keep their core players close after the success the club has enjoyed the last three years, and it’s a very smart move by the two men in charge.
