Real Madrid is struggling deeply to start their league campaign. Here are some awfully hot takes we can’t wait to look back on in a few months to see what the outcomes are.

As of September 25th, 2017, Real Madrid is 5th in the league after six games and are on 11 points. Here are my thoughts.

Borja Mayoral Will Bag 10+ Goals This Season

Practically having scored two already and been at the chance of three, I think Borja will get to double-digit goals this season. It’d be a hefty task, especially for his first season in the first team, but I think the Spaniard is up to the task. With Benzema now being out for over a month, that just means he will be on the pitch more. So the latter just means more chances.

Bale’s Numbers Will Turn Heads Once The Team Hits Form

Bale has played very well to start the season thus far. He’s actually been awesome. He’s been on par with some of the best in the league even though we are just six games in.

As seen in the tweet and graphic above, he and Messi are pretty close in the head to head in the comparison matrix when it comes to passing and creating chances. Bale could easily have 6 or 7 assists so far this season.

Real Madrid Will Still Win AT LEAST TWO Trophies

Yes, I know, I am well aware Real Madrid is 7 points behind FC Barcelona for La Liga. I don’t care. I won’t say what trophies, but I know Real Madrid will come away with at least two trophies this season.

It could be the Copa Del Rey and Champions League, it could be La Liga and the Copa Del Rey, I don’t know. I just know Zidane will be adding two more to his collection.

Real Madrid will have a busy January

Real Madrid took an unexpected back seat during the summer transfer window despite having clear holes in each the attack and defense. I think they are using this time to make appropriate January purchases of younger, but still ready-to-play talent.

The players they needed to bring into play fill holes don’t need to play in the Champions League because, by that time, it will be the knockout stages. They just will be needed for quality outings in La Liga and Copa Del Rey. Guys like Gabriel Jesus, Alexander Isaak, and Tomas Rincon were all impactful signings for their clubs last January. Why can’t RM find some players like that?
