Real Madrid’s roster is widely known to be loaded with young talent. How has some of that talent fared so far this season? Let’s check in on them.

All players must be under 23 years old, and or less than two full seasons in the first team.

Marco Asensio: Forward (21-Years-Old)

Asensio has been superb this season thus far. In 7 LaLiga appearances, he has picked up two goals as well as two assists. His match rating is also a stellar stat at 7.2 and has consistently made an impact when he is on the pitch. His pass success rate percentage is a whopping 90%. He also is averaging two key passes a game, which means he is creating tons of chances. The young Spaniard is only going to get so much better, and I cannot wait.

Dani Ceballos: Midfielder (21-Years-Old)

Surprisingly, Ceballos has seen quite a few minutes in this early season. With the midfield being so deep, most thought it would take a month or two for him to breakthrough. That hasn’t been the case. Ceballos has made five appearances for the Royal Whites so far and has been stellar. In those five games, Dani has two goals, a 94% pass completion percentage, and two chances created. That’s really, really good, especially for a player who has been in the side for less than three months. His future is very bright

Borja Mayoral: Forward (20-Years-Old)

Mayoral has probably been the biggest surprise out of everyone. He has been really average so far, but in a very good way. A lot of people have had their doubts with the kid, but in replacing Benzema so far, Borja has looked like he will develop into a very quality player. He obviously doesn’t look like he is going to win a Ballon d’Or, but he looks like he could have what it takes to be a long-term rotational forward at RM.

Achraf Hakimi: Fullback (18-Years-Old)

Hakimi just had a very good first career LaLiga against Espanyol. At just 18-years-old, he obviously has loads of potential, which I don’t think we’ve even seen much of yet. He also hasn’t played enough yet for me to give an in-depth report.

Marcos Llorente: Midfield (22-Years-Old)

Llorente has only played 98 minutes so far this season which is a little over a full game. The potential is obviously there, and he will be great, but we haven’t seen enough to give a rightful analysis.

Jesus Vallejo: Center back (20-Years-Old)

Jesus has yet to record a first-team minute this season due to injury.

Theo Hernandez: Fullback (19-Years-Old)

Hernandez is has been pretty solid, but he has been expected to do a lot when he has seen playing time. His role hasn’t been watered down or anything when he is in and Marcelo is out, he is exacted to play like that. In 120 minutes, Theo has a 6.8 average match rating which isn’t terrible either. He’s definitely shown his flashes of brilliance and I am very excited for him.
