Substitutes

Marco Asensio: 6/10 – Marco came on in the 72nd minute trying to provide a spark and was unable to do so. He replaced Isco and played higher up the pitch, behind the two forwards, but was unable to get a shot off. Where has the Marco Asensio of 2015/2016 gone?

Borja Mayoral: 6.75/10 – A bit of a weird rating I know, but I think Borja is deserving of a rating better than 6.5, just not as high as a 7. He was credited with an assist on the Ronaldo goal, but that was his only contribution in 18 minutes of play. Hey, better than Benzema.

Theo Hernandez: N/A – Theo came on for Luka Modric in the dying minutes and had few touches. He completed 10 of his 11 passes and worked with Marcelo on the left side yet again. We could see this plan employed by Zidane more in the near future.
