Goal of the Day

Today’s goal of the day comes from the Belgian beast, Romelu Lukaku, who broke the Belgium national team record for most goals in a career with his 31st here against Japan in a friendly Tuesday.

While the Belgium FA was quick to announce Lukaku as the new leading goal scorer from the country, FIFA does not recognize his 31 goals, saying that he has just 28 goals with the international team after the governing football body announced that Belgium’s match against Luxembourg, where Lukaku scored a hat-trick, did not count.

Whatever the case, Romelu is a natural scorer and is bound to break the scoring record come 2018.

Ronaldo and Real Madrid not afraid of PSG

Confident as always, Ronaldo claimed that he and his team are not worried about the firepower in Paris that PSG have. The Real Madrid forward said in an interview this week, “I’m not afraid of PSG.”

“We’re the defending champions, two years in a row, we have to respect that. We would prefer to finish first in the group, but the most important thing, first of all, is qualification.”

You have to love the enthusiasm from Cristiano.

Raphael Varane has high praise for his manager

Wow, this is not only an awesome picture, but to be a called a demigod? That is something else.

French national team legends wants Karim Benzema back on the team

According to French national team legend, Eric Cantona, he is not alone in wanting Karim Benzema to return to playing for the French national team soon.

“Obviously we want to see the best players, I want to see Karim Benzema in the French team and in my opinion, I’m not the only one,” he said.

Benzema and French manager Didier Deschamps are not on speaking terms ever since the whole blackmail scandal Benzema was involved in shortly after the 2014 World Cup with former French national team teammate, Mathieu Valbuena.

I personally wouldn’t want Benz in the national team lineup because as we have seen, he can’t score this season, but some think otherwise.
