Goal of the Day

In a very anticipated return, Gareth Bale delivered a beautiful assist to striker Borja Mayoral to help Real Madrid defeat Fuenlabrada in Copa Del Rey. Until Bale entered the match, Los Blancos had no energy and struggled to create any quality chances.

It took the incredibly talented forward no more than half a minute to get his fifth assist of the season on one of the best crosses you’ll ever see.

Real Madrid will make a push to sign Mauro Icardi in January

Despite a steep buyout clause of nearly €100 million, Los Blancos want to bring young striker Mauro Icardi to Spain as soon as January.

As we have become accustomed to seeing, rumors have been swirling that Real want to bring the in-form striker to the Bernabéu after his 15 goals in 14 starts this season for Inter Milan.

When asked about the rumors of a move to Madrid, Icardi didn’t provide much of an answer, saying, “If I receive a phone call from Real Madrid, I won’t answer. I do what I have to do on the field and then there are other people who take care of these matters.”

A reporter tried a follow-up question which was quickly shot down by the 24-year-old. “You know what I think. There’s nothing to say.”

We will continue to follow news on this possible move very closely.

Real Madrid will not risk Gareth Bale this weekend against Bilbao

After his great performance in under a half hour yesterday, Gareth Bale will not be in the squad to face Atheltic Club this weekend as Zinedine Zidane will hold the Welsh player out of the lineup as a precaution.

Don’t worry, Bale didn’t pick up another injury in the match Tuesday, but he is still not 100% fitness and needs more time to get his stamina back. He is expected to be ready to go next week when Los Blancos host Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

Real Madrid has several goalkeepers on their radar

Many fans are beginning to grow impatient with Keylor Navas, resulting in the Real Madrid board starting to look for a possible replacement for the Costa Rican.

On the radar for Madrid are three world-class keepers: Thibaut Courtois, David de Gea, and Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Kepa and Courtois have both previously voiced their interest in making a move to Madrid while de Gea, as many of you already know, has been on the Real Madrid’s transfer list for some time now.

I think this could be the summer Los Blancos finally part ways with Navas and make the move for a better, more consistent man in net.

Raúl earns sporting director diploma from RFEF

Ex-Real Madrid Np. 7 and a legend in the Spanish capital, Raúl, looks to be on his way to bigger and better things within the club.

Currently an advisor to president Florentino Perez, the 42-year-old completed a sporting director course that earned him a diploma from the Spanish Football Federation.

The former player has said he wants to work for the club for many years to come and with this diploma, he can now begin to work in a more relevant role within the club.
