Goal of the Day
I don’t know if I would consider this a shot on goal or a cross but nonetheless, it found it’s way into the back of the net.
Diego Rico scored this maybe accidental goal against Villarreal over the weekend helping his side, Leganes, come from a goal down in the second half to win 3-1.
Sometimes you need a little bit of luck and good timing to score a goal.

Will Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund try in tomorrow’s match?
This may sound like kind of a dumb question, but hear me out first. As Los Blancos host the struggling side from Germany tomorrow night in the Santiago Bernábeu, neither team will have anything to play for.
Real Madrid sit second in Group H with 10 points, 3 back of Tottenham Hotspur but, Real can not take over first place in the group even with a Spurs loss and a win tomorrow as the British side drew with the defending champions 1-1 in Madrid, and defeated them 3-1 in London.
Therefore, Tottenham has the head-to-head tiebreaker and even with a loss have secured first in the group.
Borussia Dortmund on the other hand can not qualify for the knockout stage after suffering a 2-1 loss to Spurs on matchday 5, leaving them 8 points behind Real Madrid in third.
So will either team try? Here is a full preview to help give you a better idea.
Gareth Bale misses training ahead of Dortmund match, won’t play
The frustration among Madridistas continues to grow as Gareth Bale has been ruled out for tomorrow’s match.
The Welsh forward did not train Tuesday and has been out of action since making a short cameo in Los Blancos’ 2-2 draw against Fuenlabrada in the Copa Del Rey last week. Right now, Bale’s tentative return is marked for the semifinal of the FIFA Club World Cup which is set to begin next Wednesday.
Bale has been included in the squad for the trip to the United Arab Emirates, so it should be expected he play in the competition. Will he return against Sevilla this weekend? I would say it’s unlikely.
Real Madrid send heartfelt letter to injured Sunderland youngster
This is was a very nice move by the club. A month ago, Sunderland striker Duncan Watmore suffered yet a torn ACL for the second time in as many years.
At just 23-year-old, the promising forward has struggled to stay healthy as he had just returned to the lineup two months ago before suffering another injury setback. In hopes to boost his spirit, Real Madrid as a club sent a letter to Duncan wishing him a speedy recovery and voicing their support for a full recovery.
Duncan’s father, Ian, tweeted a picture of the letter. This makes me proud to be a Madrid fan.
Cristiano Ronaldo expected to be named Ballon d’Or winner Thursday
Rumors and reports from several media outlets have announced that Cristiano Ronaldo will receive his fifth Ballon d’Or trophy of his career Thursday night in Paris atop the Eiffel Tower.
I really, really hope this is true.
