The Spanish have a phrase to express whenever the league table has tightened up enough at the top for there to be a legitimate race for the title: “Hay Liga,” or “There is league!” But now, all there is to say is “No, no hay Liga.”

If the league was even in Madrid’s grasp before the match, its nowhere near us after that loss. Now sitting 14 points behind, its hard for even the most optimistic Madridista to argue we can get back into the title race and honestly, I dont think a single member of this team deserves it.

Zidane focus should now be set on the Champions League or the Copa Del Rey to ensure he will still have a job next season. We all know what happens to Real Madrid managers whenever they fail to make new additions to the trophy cabinet, and Zidane is currently trending that direction.
