It’s been a while since you’ve seen that acronym so in case you forgot BBC stands for Bale, Benzema, Cristiano. Now that you have a refresher just know that none of these players is on the team sheet for today’s fixture.

We were expecting Benzema to make his return in the Copa today but it seems as though he is not yet ready having been left out of the squad. On the other hand, Zidane has elected to rest Ronaldo and Bale, the latter slightly baffling as to why.

With Real Madrid’s three key forwards unavailable for today, someone will need to step up and score some goals. Today’s situation presents a great opportunity for many of the what would substitute for the squad to step up and show Zidane as well as the fans that they too can get it done.

Both Ronaldo and Benzema have been off colour for the better part of the season with Bale being the most consistent when he has been available. An array of attacking players will be relied upon by Zidane in making the first step to the semi-finals.

In addition to the BBC’s absence, Marcelo and Sergio Ramos have also been left off the team sheet. Mr Jack of all Trades Master of All, Nacho is most likely the replacement for Captain Sergio Ramos.

What will be most interesting though is what Zizou will do about Marcelo not being present. The most logical replacement would be Theo Hernandez, but with all due respect, Zizou has not always been the most logical when it comes to making subs or slotting in second string players for those who are unavailable.
