Karim Benzema – 6

Karim finally made his return from injury as he played 25 minutes after replacing Mayoral. The Frenchman’s appearance brought together the BBC and marked their first trio appearance since April of 2017. The lack of playing time may have affected his inability to contribute something meaningful to the squad. Let’s hope he can stay healthy and it won’t be as long before we see the BBC together again.

Mateo Kovacic – 6

The Croatian came in for his fellow countryman, Luka Modric, in the 76th minute. Following up Luka’s performance would not be easy especially in less than 15 minutes, thankfully for him, that was not Zidane’s intention. Mateo got a few touches on the ball but nothing that created a chance for his team. A probable start for him in the second-leg of the Copa Del Rey will give him time to better showcase his talents.

Lucas Vazquez -7

Lucas came on with just eight minutes left to play but made sure to make the most of the time given to him. Having been on just two minutes, Vazquez provided an assist for Ronaldo’s second goal. There was not much to do as the game was done and dusted but added a checkmark to his stat sheet, showing Zidane he can produce when on the field.
