Gareth Bale Proves the Haters Wrong (Again)

It’s interesting to me that for all the complaints made about Real Madrid’s business during the summer and the supposed lack of depth this season, a lot of fans were perfectly happy to sell Gareth Bale in November.

The Welshman had just had another injury set back and most fans had given up on him, many welcoming Manchester United’s and Tottenham’s rumored approaches going into the winter window. We now sit midway through the very same transfer window and despite hardly playing, Gareth Bale was the first Real Madrid player to score more than 4 league goals this season and is now joint top scorer with Ronaldo on 6 goals.

Gareth has proved his haters wrong once more and its largely down to his contribution that Madisn’ten’t in a worse position than they already are. Now all the Welsh dragon needs (and Madrid for that matter) is a clean bill of health heading towards that key Valentine day fixture against PSG in the Champions League.

Lets all hope that this is the last time Gareth Bale has to silence his critics.
