We Aren’t Back Just Yet

Madridistas have every right to enjoy this victory, but, it is still too early to start saying that this game marks a return of form for Real Madrid. We have said it more than once with this side (eg after the 3-1 win against Real Sociedad, after the 6-0 win over APOEL, after the 5-0 win over Sevilla) and have been proven wrong thus far.

Real Madrid took a small step in the right direction with this win and Zinedine Zidane should be telling his players that they must make a statement over the next few weeks before the do or die clash against PSG in the Champions League.

An away trip to the cursed Mestalla awaits Los Blancos, a win there would be a huge statement of intent for the second half of the season.
