Real Madrid put in another dominant performance Saturday afternoon to push their La Liga win streak to four matches as they try to cut the gap behind FC Barcelona. More importantly, the BBC was in flying form in this match.

Cristiano Ronaldo bagged a brace, Gareth Bale scored under a minute into the second half, and we had a surprising Karim Benzema appearance from the penalty spot.

All in all, the BBC was unstoppable against lowly Deportivo Alavés as the three men who have earned themselves an international reputation for being one of the most prolific forward lines dominated the match.

Despite a slow start in the first half with few chances, the BBC willed Madrid to victory in yet another crucial league match. Ronaldo and Bale were all over the Alavés box early in the match creating great link up plays and getting some quality shots on net. However, they were unable to break through until late in the first half.

Cristiano Ronaldo  scored the opening goal in the 44th minute with a beatuful finish off of an even better pass from striker Karim Benzema. The Big Benz used some nifty footwork to lay the ball off to CR7 who angled his body perfectly and put the ball in the bottom corner.

Taking a 1-0 lead into the half, Real Madrid didn’t take the foot off the gas as they continued to fly forward and found a second goal just seconds into the second half by way of Gareth Bale for his seventh league goal of the year.

Once again, it was Benz who made the pass to setup the goal. With assists on Ronaldo and Bale’s goals, the striker now has six assists in league play, but only four goals in 19 appearances.

CR7 added a second just past the hour mark as in-form winger Lucas Vazquez laid the ball off for Cristiano who stepped up and blasted the ball into the net from the top of the box.

The fourth and final goal came from Karim who was given the penalty kick opportunity after Gareth was dragged down. It was a great moment for Benz who has been struggling to find the back of the net this season and instead of Ronaldo stepping up for his hat-trick, he gave Benzema the shot and he converted with ease.

Today marks the first time since April of 2016 that all three members of the BBC have scored in a match and it couldn’t come at a better time. With three starters missing the match due to injury and Sergio Ramos suspended due to yellow card accumulation, to see a rotated side play like this is incredible.

It was another good showing from Mateo Kovacic and Lucas Vazquez, but in the end, it’s Ronaldo, Bale, and Benzema who will take the majority of the praise for their incredible showing in this match.
