Looking Ahead to March

As there is an international break in March, Real will only have a handful of games this month. Real will have a total of four games, three in La Liga and one in the Champions League.

The most important will, of course, be the second-leg match against Paris Saint-Germain.

The international break starts in mid-March and Real play their last game on the 18th making it a somewhat hectic couple of weeks. Here is a look at the dates and locations of Madrid’s matches.

  1. La Liga – Getafe; March 3 (H)
  2. Champions League – Paris Saint-Germain; March 6 (A)
  3. La Liga – Eibar; March 10 (A)
  4. La Liga – Girona; March 18 (H)

Madrid’s first match won’t require any travel as it is at home. This should benefit the squad as they prepare for their game against PSG. Real will then play 10th place Getafe and by no means is this a game to take lightly. This match could see Marcelo pick up some minutes in preparation for the PSG game.

Real Madrid’s second match is also their farthest as they take on PSG. They will travel to the Parc de Princes, a 654-mile journey. In this time, Madrid will be quite busy as they will have to travel to Eibar as well just four days after their UCL match.

From there, Real Madrid is given eight days to rest and recover as they host 8th place Girona. If Madrid is still looking to push on in La Liga they will have to play their strongest side and pick up all points available.
