Player ratings from Real Madrid’s 3-1 win against Getafe
Real Madrid bounced back and showed some resiliency as they grabbed all three points against Getafe. It’s a great start to the month for Los Blancos. Here’s a look at the player ratings.
This weekend’s fixture against Getafe was one that Real Madrid was predicted to win, and they did just that. While Zidane and his men were playing their La Liga match, they were more focused on what is to come on Tuesday.
Madrid dominated possession from start to finish and had over three times as many shots as their opponents. The BBC featured for just the second time this season and each one contributed either a goal or an assist.
The game against Getafe served more as a dress rehearsal for Real before they head to Paris. Madrid will face-off against Paris Saint-Germain in the second-leg of their Round of 16 in the Champions League.
Things are looking up after a great performance with Marcelo getting some playing time. Ronaldo bagged two goals on the night and will look to continue his fine form in Paris.
Here’s a look at how the player performed and their ratings.
Defense
Keylor Navas – 7.5
Keylor had a great game but was unable to keep the clean sheet against Getafe, though it was not his fault. A poor call by the referee had Navas in deep water as he tried to keep the penalty out but was unable to do so. Apart from that, the Costa Rican was strong when called upon.
Dani Carvajal – 8
It looks like Dani is doing what he knows best, tearing up the right flank with his stamina and taking care of business with strong tackles and strong passing. Dani had three tackles as well as crosses and four long balls with an accuracy we have become accustomed too.
Sergio Ramos – 8
The Capitan was strong once again. Not only were his stats impressive but he encouraged his team and made sure to direct his men correctly. Ramos passed with an incredible 98% completion rate on 100 passes.
Nacho – 7
It was a harsh game for Nacho against Getafe as he was fouled three times, the most of Real’s back line. His patience was clearly tested as he picked up a yellow card. A horrible call by the referee against Nacho had Real conceded a penalty. The tackle by the center-back was clean and perfectly timed, unfortunately, the call did no go his way.
Theo Hernandez – 7.5
Theo is making incredible use of his time in the left-back position before Marcelo returns to action completely. The youngster did an incredible job working the left flank and is performing well when called upon by Zidane.
