Three takeaways from Real Madrid’s 2-1 win against Eibar
Cristiano Ronaldo does it again
Seems like Déjà vu, but it is happening all over again. Cristiano Ronaldo has again turned it around in the second half of the season. To the point that people who were questioning him (including me) are questioning themselves now for ever doubting him.
The man has come back like a hurricane and is swatting aside everything in his way. He is now on a 7-game scoring streak, his best since 2014. He has scored in every single Champions League game this season and is vying to break his own record of 17 goals in one campaign. On current form, I wouldn’t bet against him either.
He scored both the goals for Madrid and could have scored 2 more at least if it wasn’t for the alertness of the goalkeeper. The first goal settled the nerves and the second won Madrid the 3 points.
He has somehow managed to score more goals than Messi in far lesser games, and Messi seems to be having the season of his life. So, you can interpret what that means for Ronaldo’s season then.
Never, never write this man off. He will make you chew back your words like nobody else can.

Let’s hope Cristiano Ronaldo can keep up this run of good form on into the Champions League. Real Madrid will need the Dark Invader in fine form if they hope to make a deep run in that tournament, which seems to be the only one that matters to them of late.
