Real Madrid could tempt Mohamed Salah into leaving Liverpool
By Ben Sundock
Mohamed Salah is the hottest stock in the European football world at the moment. Bursting onto the scene in his first year with Liverpool, the Egyptian winger has been a prophet for the Reds scoring 33 competitive goals since August. But could he leave Jurgen Klopp for Zinedine Zidane and Real Madrid?
“Not being disrespectful to Liverpool, but Salah won’t have grown up dreaming of playing for Liverpool – if Real Madrid come knocking, he’s going to be taking notice of that,” Arsenal legend Ian Wright told reporters.
With the way Real Madrid has worked the market in the past, I don’t see how president Florentino Perez doesn’t at least make an offer for the crazy hot player.
Los Blancos have become known for signing ‘Galacticos’ players who are in the prime of their career and cost a pretty penny. Not only has Salah come into the Premier League and dominated, but he has also helped his Egyptian national team reach the 2018 World Cup in Russia thanks to some stunning performances.
“Anyone that has come into the Premier League and scored that amount of goals, you’re going to court that kind of attention,” Wright went on to say.
Mohamed Salah has certainly done that and much more.
According to Transfermarkt.com, Salah’s value doubled from mid-October to the beginning of 2018.
What could entice Liverpool to sell the right winger is the profit return on the deal. The Reds bought Salah from AS Roma over the summer for about €35 million. His value has risen to just above €80 million in the span of six months.
However, Real Madrid would likely need to make an offer great than €100 million to tempt Liverpool into selling Mohamed Salah as the club has publicly said they don’t want to let the goalscorer leave.
Rather, manager Jurgen Klopp wants to build on the talent already at the club and bring in players to improve the team further.
I have to agree with Ian Wright on this issue.

If Madrid really, really want to sign Salah, they can and will. It’s just a matter of agreeing to terms and likely selling off a forward currently on the team. That forward could be Gareth Bale or Karim Benzema.
Mo Salah on the right wing, with Ronaldo on the left or in the middle, could be one of the deadliest forward lines the club has ever had. But, it will take a monumental effort from the board to make this move happen.
