Attack

Isco: 7/10

Isco had one of those games – he was fantastic at everything besides putting the ball in the net. Had he been clinical, Real Madrid probably would have at least drawn this game! The Spanish attacker glided around the pitch and linked up extremely well with his teammates.

The only draw back was his end product which was unbearable to watch. Though, his form has continued to improve and that is good for all of us, maybe he’ll stay now?

Gareth Bale: 85,000,000/10

You’ll notice that his rating is his transfer fee (in GBP), why? Because that’s exactly how much money was wasted bringing him to the club. Once upon a time, I loved Bale.

However, continual disappointment, recent poor attitude and poor performances, mean I no longer love this guy. He offered nothing throughout the game, his movement sucked and he was a complete passenger throughout the first half until he was substituted. Not only that, but he completely bottled a good chance early on.

Time to go Bale.

Cristiano Ronaldo: 9/10

CRISTIANO RONALDO. This man is not something you can sum up in words.

The Portuguese maverick was the best outlet upfront all game for Real. He created chances, he dribbled at the defense, he had some great shots and when it all came down to him, he scored the vital penalty after his headed pass to Vasquez drew a foul.

He’s now scored in every single game of this UCL campaign and is in some of the finest form we’ve ever seen. This man is a savor my good people! We will never see another like him.

Substitutes

Marco Asensio: 6/10

The Spanish wonder-kid created some good chances and he helped Marcelo shore up the left flank also. Though he didn’t do much of note.

Lucas Vasquez: 7/10

Lucas Vasquez was once again at the front of Real’s success tonight. His hard work ethic and constant pressure created chances. He won the penalty which sent Real through. Another sound performance.

Mateo Kovacic: 6/10

Kova didn’t really have too much impact on the game with his late introduction. He filled in nicely for Modric but on the whole didn’t do anything of note.
