Cristiano Ronaldo

The talisman put home the penalty that saw Real Madrid through to the next round of the Champions League. Ronaldo said via Twtiter “let’s go team!”

Raphael Varane

The Frenchman held the back line for Madrid in the second-leg against Juventus. At just 25 years-old, he’s done very well for himself at the club. Varane shared his joy of Madrid heading to another semifinal with this post via Twitter.

Toni Kroos

Toni Kroos celebrated with a picture of his arms in the air after Ronaldo’s goal.

My Thoughts

While the game did not go to plan by any means, the victory was still attained and that is what matters, for now. Madrid will definitely have to step up their defensive game and sort out all the kinks they had against Juventus if they want to make another Final.

Next: Juventus show that Real Madrid is still vulnerable

The lack of cohesion that was displayed by Madrid in many instances of the game will need to be rectified. I’m positive that Zidane will make the appropriate changes and adjustments as needed, the big concern will be personnel. Sergio Ramos is on the brink of being suspended once again while Nacho is still unfit for game play.
