Three players from Real Madrid have cemented a little piece of history this weekend after their match against Malaga. Here are the details on the men and their fine careers.

Playing at Real Madrid is a dream for many kids around the world, but only a handful are able to fulfill that desire. Whether it be moving up through the ranks, or getting transferred to Madrid, three players have achieved great success, each in their own right.

Captain Sergio Ramos, Marco Asensio, and Mateo Kovacic have all been a part of Real Madrid’s success in one way or another. The Real Champs takes a quick look at these players and where they’ve come from and their time at Real Madrid.

Sergio Ramos came up through the ranks of his hometown club Sevilla back in 2002. For a year, he played with the Juvenile A squad and made it to the Juvenile B team in that same season. Impressive as he was, and still is, the following year Ramos played for the first team of Sevilla for two years. Madrid was on the prowl and stole the center-back in 2005.

Sergio is now in his 13th season and has two years remaining on his contract. The Captain has quite the decorated club career and after his match against Malaga, this weekend is tied with Guti for appearances with Real in league play.

Ramos has now made 387 appearances over 13 seasons with Real Madrid in La Liga and chasing for a 13th Champions League title.

The Captain has done well for Real Madrid and has shown no signs of slowing down despite being 32. The team thrives on his leadership and the special relationship he has with each one of his teammates. From watching just one match you can see the positive aura that shines from him and how positively impactful he is to those around him.

Players like Isco, Asesnio, and Vallejo, just to name a few, have been very outspoken about the guidance and brother-like relationship with Ramos.
