Keylor Navas’ blunder, giving up the third goal against Juventus, has put the Costa Rican back under the microscope. Here is my defense of Keylor and why Real Madrid fans should have more patience with him.

Here we are again; it seems to be a dangerous game saying Keylor Navas is back in form because no sooner have we said that, he makes a silly blunder to nearly cost his side a place in the Champions League semifinals.

The Costa Rican dropped a cross he should have caught, allowing Blaise Matuadi to tap home for the third goal on the night and an equalizer on aggregate. Thankfully, Cristiano Ronaldo was around to save the day, however, Navas received plenty of social media backlash at full time.

It’s criticism Keylor will receive a lot of for now, however, I would like to make the case that we should take it easier on our Costa Rican shot stopper.
