Lucas Vazquez

Opening Statement

“The most important thing today was to get the win and put in a good performance to continue our great run. We’re pleased for Isco, he had a great game.”

Penalty against Juventus

“There’s been an awful lot of talk about something that’s not worth talking about, it’s part of football. Seeing Madrid in the semi-finals for eight years in a row winds people up. People take pleasure in our failures. We have to focus on ourselves and we’re thrilled to be in the semi-finals. There’s been more hype about the penalty in Spain than in Italy.”

This season

“We dropped a lot of points in the first few months and couldn’t keep pace with the leaders. We have to improve and realise we must start seasons in the same way we’ve been finishing them”.”

Playing against Bayern Munich

“They’re fantastic opposition, a European giant. We can’t wait to play.”

Casemiro

Opening Statement

"“We knew that playing here was difficult because of the situation Málaga find themselves in in the league. We played well and had full control of the game. Maybe we took our foot off of the gas a bit at the end and we could have maybe gone home with a clean sheet. It’s three more points and we must keep picking up more.” “As long as the league is going, we have to keep fighting and always give everything for this badge. Hopefully the top teams slip up and we can close in on them. Playing defensive midfield can be difficult. It’s a difficult position. I made a mistake in one move, but then Keylor Navas made a save. In another passage of play I stole the ball and we got the goal.”"

On Isco

“He’s always important for Madrid. We know how fond Malaga are of him, he made history here as he’s doing at Real Madrid. I hope he stays with us for a long time and we can continue to enjoy his magic.”

Jesus Vallejo

Opening Statement

"“The most positive thing is the three points, which allow us to continue looking forward in LaLiga. I’m happy to play again and feel comfortable. I need to keep getting more minutes and recovering. We put in a complete performance.” “This game allows us to continue to build confidence as we prepare for the Bayern match, we have to concentrate on the league to go in to the Champions League in the right shape.”"

On his teammates and coach

"“Ramos, Varane and Nacho are for me the three best centre backs in the world, I’m privileged to be learning from them, Sergio is always communicating to you, he covers well and reads the game superbly.” “I’d like to congratulate Zidane. We have to appreciate he’s been here a relatively short amount of time and to get his 100th win is phenomenal. He’ll be pleased, he’s got his day-to-day methods and asks as lot of us in training.”"

Theo Hernandez

Opening Statement

“We had opportunities to kill the game off, but we didn’t take them. Perhaps we relaxed a little bit at 2-0 up but I think it was a fantastic display.”

Isco Performance

“He’s a wonderful player and I’m happy for him with the performance he put in tonight. He has to keep working hard and scoring goals.”

Next Match

“We’re going to come out firing on all cylinders, we’re expecting an intense Athletic side with a real fighting spirit.”
