Real Madrid transfer rumors: PSG and Manchester United to battle for Casemiro’s signature
Why Casemiro will stay
Continuity
Real Madrid is known to be a team where great players keep out other great players. On Madrid’s roster, there are currently two defensive midfielders, Marcos Llorente and of course, Casemiro. Due to Llorente being so young and not having the maturity like his counterpart, the Brazilian is handed the majority of the minutes.
This season, Casemiro has played 40 games in all competitions totaling over 3,000 minutes of playing time. He’s scored a personal record of seven goals thus far – adding three assists as well. Casemiro has consistently been a part of Zidane’s starting XI and rightfully so.
This Seasons Stats:
- 40 games
- 7 goals
- 3 assists
- 3,308 minutes played
In the midfield, he often plays alongside Luka Modric and Toni Kroos. This setup allows for both Modric and Kroos to get up field without having to worry as much about counter attacks.
With Casmeiro slotted above Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane, the Brazilian acts as a buffer for the back line. The added support lightens the load on both the defense and midfield of Madrid.
Success
Along with a starting role at the biggest club in the world, Casemiro has been a part of a great era at Real Madrid. There is little reason for a player to want to leave a team, especially when they have done so well.

Titles with Real Madrid:
- 3 Champions Leagues
- 1 La Liga
- 1 Copa Del Rey
- 2 Club World Cups
- 1 Spanish Super Cup
Casemiro is in good standing with his teammates and more importantly the staff. The only benefit from his departure from the club would be the money gained. At 26-years-old, he is in the prime of his career and will be looking to extend that success as Madrid chase their third straight UCL title.
