Having Neymar in the Royal White kit of Real Madrid is certainly a wonderful sight, but at what cost? The Brazilian boasts incredible stats, with fine play. He is a great dribbler, crosser, finisher, passer, you name the skill and he has it but what it does to the squad could be detrimental.

Apart from matchday, Neymar doesn’t necessarily have the greatest team player attitude. Having a hostile environment though could do more harm to a squad than being unable to pick up three points.

Money comes, money goes, its what you do with it that counts. The release clause alone of the superstar could go to paying the wages of multiple players current or potential. Players like Isco and Marco Asensio may find themselves uncertain of their position in the club and be wanting to leave. Would Real Madrid give up one of the hottest young talents? The addition of Neymar would bring about a huge shift in the team roster, is that really what Zidane wants?
