Real Madrid will take on Liverpool in Kiev this Saturday, aiming to be the first side to make it three Champions League titles on the bounce. This would also be Ronaldo’s sixth European final, joining Milan legend Costacurta at 4th on the all-time appearance list. But before that, we analyze his performances in the previous five he’s participated in.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s tryst with the Champions League is unlike anything. It’s a remarkably special relationship, and of course, a better love story than Twilight.

The Portuguese international isn’t just the most prolific in the competition but has also kissed the coveted Big Ol’ Ears on four different occasions. And as the clock winds down, he’s on the cusp of a potential 5th as Real Madrid take on Liverpool in the Kiev showpiece.

The latest one is set to be the 6th European final of his career (let that sink in) and also may be one of the more significant ones, considering the build-up to the kickoff and Madrid’s poor domestic campaign.

Regardless of the outcome though, Los Blancos Number 7 remains one of the greatest to have graced the tournament. The stats are there for all to see. But before he sets out on the Kiev turf with the ambition of creating more history, let’s take a walk down memory lane and revisit his performances in the five Champions League finals he’s previously played.

Oh, let’s also rank it in the ascending order from the worst to best!
