Dani Carvajal

Another Real Madrid play who will be making his World Cup debut in Russia is right-back, Dani Carvajal. Having made 14 appearances on the senior level since 2014, Dani has really grown as a player since the World Cup in Brazil.

The fullback made the provisional list for the 2014 competition but did not make the final cut after manager Vicente del Bosque decided he wasn’t ready. Dani was with Nacho for the U-21 European triumph in 2013, and much like his Real Madrid counterpart, he saw his senior career begin shortly thereafter.

Carvajal made his senior debut in September of 2014 where he started and played the full 90 minutes in a loss to Macedonia.

Dani is deserving of a spot on this roster as he played over 20 league games in each of his five seasons in the Spanish capital, having a huge impact. Dani will be backed up by up and coming Real Sociedad right-back, Álvaro Odriozola, who is just 22.

Carvajal’s incredible pace going forward and tracking back on the right wing will be of huge benefit to La Roja.
